WP Leader: UNIBO
Participants: UNIFI, UNIPARTHENOPE, POLIBA, UNICA
Task 6.1: Data transmission and interface with authorities and institutions in charge for public safety and conservation of existing buildings and infrastructures, the maintenance of historical buildings
The usual output of the monitoring systems cannot be directly transmitted to the authorities and institutions, so clear parameters will be defined in terms of discrete or continuous risk levels. In this way, the output of the Project will allow administrators being aware of their decisions.
Task 6.2: Definition of priority queue
Condition rating numbers will be used to evaluate the maintenance priority of structures and infrastructures network, which will allow decision makers to optimize the financial resources.
Task 6.3: Early warning
Early Warning Systems will be developed to provide timely information on future or ongoing events to reduce loss of life and damages.
Task 6.4: Threshold levels
The definition of threshold levels on the monitored parameters will be done by simulating the behavior of the structures through the models developed in WP4 and updated in WP5.
Task 6.5: Definition of safety and alarm levels
A significant effort will be conducted in order to establish a correlation between the values of the monitored parameters and the safety condition of the structures. In this way, it will be possible to define alarm levels for the considered case studies.
