Task 4.1: Preliminary data processing
Raw data registered by the monitoring systems need preliminary data processing in order to filter noise, extract trends, and exclude disturbed signals. Long-term monitoring systems characterized by several multi-component sensors do not allow a manual process of each single signal. This task is then devoted to developing software tools able to clean automatically the raw registered data. In addition, data obtained by long-term monitoring will be used to assess the effect of thermal excursion on the data.
Task 4.2: Structural modeling
This task consists in the development of structural models (finite element and macro-elements models, etc.) of the considered case studies necessary for the next task on data interpretation.
Task 4.3: Data interpretation
The data collected together with the models developed in the previous task will allow the identification of threshold values to evaluate the safety of the structure. The identification of thresholds on irregular signals often requires the adoption of statistical descriptors (e.g., standard deviation), especially in presence of dynamic actions.
Task 4.4: Comprehensive protocol for data processing and interpretation
In this task, all the recommendations defined in the previous tasks will be collected to provide a unified protocol for data processing and interpretation.
